New Music: Weekly Releases for May 14, 2023
NEW MUSIC ALERT
Hello, music lovers! I took last week off to hang out with my family on the beach. Boy, was it nice to sit in the moment and not check my emails as much as I'd like to admit.
While your girl may have taken some time off from the grind, there was nothing slow in regards to the music.
There have been news rumblings about a potential rock album from Dolly Parton, and she recently confirmed it. The East Tennessee legend dropped the first single off her upcoming rock album, 'Rockstar,' which is set to release on November 17th.
Dolly just co-hosted the ACM Awards alongside Garth Brooks on May 11th. The beloved country music icons had viewers raving about the ceremony across social media.
Among other artists in attendance that night was Jelly Roll, who teamed up with labelmate Lainey Wilson on their new song 'Save Me.' The duet took the ACM Awards by storm, and their performance of the song was one of the many notable sets that graced the stage that Thursday night. Jelly Roll has been busy gearing up for his upcoming tour, in conjunction with the release of his newest project, 'Whitsitt Chapel,' which will be out on June 2nd.
Lil Durk makes a return with the announcement of his new album, 'Almost Healed.' He gives fans a glimpse of what he's cooking up by recruiting J Cole on 'All My Life.' No release date has been confirmed at this time.
