New Music: Weekly Releases for January 1, 2023
NEW MUSIC MONDAY
Hello, Music Lovers! I hope you enjoyed some downtime with your loved ones. Not too much partying was done on my part but your girl made sure to tune in to Miley Cyrus’s NYE Party on NBC Network.
The Tennessee native co-hosted the special with none other than Dolly Parton. The televised special included various performances throughout the night. Dolly Parton and Miley performed her hit, ‘Wrecking Ball.’ Clips of that performance went viral just hours after the event. It truly was an unexpected collab we never knew we needed. Rae Sremmurd also hit the stage at Miley’s Miami event. The duo debuted their newest song with their first live performance of ‘Torpedo.’
Cuco gets straight to it with a new song, ‘First Of The Year.’ He stays true to his psychedelic influences on his new track. The project follows his single ‘Pendant’, a tribute to the Artist’s late grandfather. While no release date has been confirmed at this time, it appears we are getting a preview of what he’s cooking up following his sophomore album, Fantasy Gateway.
As definitive as a transition from the physical world to the spirit world is, a trip around the Sun is also guaranteed during our time earthside. To celebrate turning 26th, Sana from popular K-Pop group TWICE debuts her Birthday Inspired single, ‘Mood Indigo.’
I imagine being born on or near the New Year is no easy feat. However, Sana rings it in with a BANG! Check out her latest release, here.
On the other hand, it seems Wiz Khalifa, the Bombay-Lemonade enthusiast, vows to go alcohol-free with his new song, ‘#NeverDrinkingAgain.’ Sounds like the famous last words spoken by everyone I know vowing to a Dry January.
