Hello, music lovers! Welcome back to another #musicalert with the newest releases this week.
It's been seven years since her last release. Shakira's 12th studio album, "Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran," marks a transformative journey for the Colombian superstar.
Emerging from the ashes like a phoenix, Shakira turns her pain into gold, celebrating the strength of womanhood... all while looking dang good at bouncing back!
The album features a diverse range of musical styles, including pop, Afrobeats, bachata, Tex-Mex, and rock, showcasing Shakira's versatility as an artist. Some renowned names on the project include Cardi B, Grupo Frontera, and Rauw Alejandro, just to name a few.
"El Jefe" sees Shakira embracing norteño music, delivering a powerful message of independence and self-determination. "Te Felicito," featuring Rauw Alejandro, topped the Latin Airplay charts, and now "Punteria" is set to get us summer vibes ready. I know that's right!
Irish singer-songwriter Hozier has released a compelling new EP titled "Unheard," featuring four singles: "Too Sweet," "Wildflower and Barley" (with Alison Russell), "Empire Now," and "Fare Well." The EP showcases Hozier's soulful vocals and emotive songwriting, covering themes of human nature, love, socio-political issues, and personal growth. With a blend of folk, blues, and rock influences, Hozier's gives listeners their fix as he gears up for his upcoming album.
It sounds like there are choppy waters in the Hip Hop Harbors.
Metro Boomin’ and Future team up on another banger, “We Don’t Trust You.” The album includes the alleged diss song featuring Kendrick Lamar, "Like That,” which is said to be a call-out to the Big 3 (according to TikTok speculation). Other notable songs include: "Young Metro" with The Weeknd, "GTA," and "Cinderella" featuring Travis Scott. As a longtime fan of Metro Boomin and Future Hendrix, I’m excited to have them both back on the scene with more bangers.
