New Music: Weekly Releases for January 26, 2024
NEW MUSIC ALERT
Hello, music lovers! It’s Aquarius Season, so it’s only right to kick off this #musicalert with one of their very own. Megan Thee Stallion is starting her Birthday Season with a bang. The Houston Hot Girl doesn't hold back on her new song, 'HISS.' Since its debut, the track has both fans and other artists talking and discussing. The discourse has led to fans making assumptions on whom the lyrics are referring to and deciphering every bar in great detail.
If I do say so myself, Megan leaves no shells in the chamber. Homegirl killed it, no hesitation.
It seems that the metaphorical stray bullets may have hit a nerve in fellow rapper Nicki Minaj.
The Queens native went live not even 20 minutes after the release, during which she live-streamed for what seemed like hours.
Minaj gave folks a preview of ‘Big Foot,’ which seems to be a response to Megan’s new song.
To date, Megan has yet to comment on Onika’s diss track. #TeamMeganTheeStallion around here!
In other music developments stirring up a storm, the spotlight turns to Country Music.
Morgan Wallen seems to be in his reputation era.
Wallen published a statement across his socials late Thursday evening regarding the release of music he put to bed 10 years ago.
To his dismay, his former label and management team have decided to proceed with the release of said works against Wallen’s will.
Since he could not stop said release, Morgan was ultimately pushed to take the Taylor Swift route, and he re-recorded his own version.
Make sure that if you’re going to stream ‘Spin You Around,’ you give Mo plays on his version.
On the bright side, Kevin Gates finally dropped his anticipated LP, ‘The Ceremony.’ The album features 17 tracks, including the hit song ‘Yonce Freestyle’ with B.G., Sexyy Red. Other notable songs on the project are: 'Lil Yea,’ ‘Healing,’ ‘Speed Dial,’ and ‘RUMORS.’
