New Music: Weekly Releases for February 12, 2023
NEW MUSIC ALERT
Hello, Music Lovers! Welcome back to this week’s music alert.
Nashville Stand up! It appears two of Music City’s very own came through with the hits this past weekend.
ERNEST, the rising country star, has just released an expanded collection titled, ‘Two Dozen Roses,’ which features a whopping 24 tracks. Among the top listens off the LP are ‘Comfortable When I'm Crazy,’ ‘This Fire,’ ‘Anything But Sober,’ and ‘Drunk With My Friends.’
The expanded collection also includes three new songs that offer fans a sneak peek into what to expect on the new album. These tracks, 'Miss That Girl,’ ‘Unhang The Moon,’ and ‘Songs We Used To Sing,’ each offer a unique perspective on the album's overall narrative.
In addition to his new album, ERNEST is joining Morgan Wallen on his highly anticipated "One Night At A Time World Tour." Fans can look forward to seeing him perform live and experiencing the full range of his musical talents.

Hayley Williams and her beloved Y2K punk band, Paramore, also released their sixth full-length album on Friday, February 10. Their new project, ‘This Is Why,’ is a tight, post-punk masterpiece that explores pandemic-fueled anxieties, and I'm sure we can all relate to at least a lyric or two.
While the imprint they made on music and our young souls back in 2004 never faded, it was the chance mashup on TikTok of Olivia Rodrigo's 2021 hit ‘good 4 u’ and Paramore's ‘Misery Business’ that revived Millennials' love for emo music. With the help of TikTok, the popular punk band was introduced to a whole new generation, and I couldn't be happier for Gen Z to get a taste of what the early 2000s had to offer.
