New Music: Weekly Releases for September 19, 2022
NEW MUSIC MONDAY
Hello, Music Lovers! Welcome back to this week’s #NewMusic alert with yours truly.
As suspected, adored K-Pop group, BLACKPINK, have made their comeback! The beloved “Girl Gang”, if you will, made it back on the scene with a new single, ’Shut Down.’ Not only did they shut it down on the latest hit, but they served on the official video for the new track. The music video premiered last Thursday and has already garnered over 89 Million views on YouTube.
What a way to follow-up their MTV Music Awards. The group collectively won Best Metaverse Performance for Blackpink The Virtual – PUBG, a special in-game concert featuring the song “Ready For Love”. In addition to that award, LISA won Best K-pop for her debut solo single “Lalisa.”
I could go on all day about their impressive accolades but then I’d never get through the list of hitmakers to drop heavy hits this week.
In Hip-Hop news, EST Gee released his newest album, I Never Felt Nun. The project comes in hot with a few features including Future, Young Jeezy, Jack Harlow, and MGK. While I can hype up the LP until I turn blue in the face, I highly advise you check out ‘Shoot It Myself.’
Another honorable mention goes to by girl Becky G with her new song, ‘AMANTES’ featuring Daviles de Novelda.
