NEW MUSIC FRIDAY
Hello, Music Lovers! Welcome back for this week’s #NewMusicAlert. November is proving to be full of re-energizing themes and boosts of confidence to push the envelope on the very things that make us uncomfortable. I believe that with the holidays being right around the corner, it’s hard not to look forward to the very things that put anyone in a better mood - family and food.
Something that is also putting folks in better spirits is the return of Pop Punk.
Ms. Avril Lavigne released her first single since signing to Travis Barker’s label, DTA Records. With a rise in popularity of the Pop Punk genre, it goes without saying that fans are anxiously awaiting for what’s in store on her forthcoming album. When asked about her new single, Avril stated “I just really didn't want any ballads, I just wanted rock and roll and pop-punk."
It seems this is the week of classic revivals. Taylor Swift also dropped her second re-recorded album, RED (Taylor’s Version) this Friday. The album features 30 tracks from her early years which includes ‘22’, ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’, and ‘Better Man.’ It’s safe to say all the feels and nostalgia are felt throughout the album with a twist of the new Taylor Swift. This is just the beginning of a new era, folks.
